Royal Mail Hotel, Dunkeld, Australia

This one has it all. Five star cuisine! Extensive wine list. Beautiful scenery. Friendly staff. Comfortable accommodation.

If you don't want broadband in your room, this is the perfect place.

We stayed for two nights and our stay happened to coincide with the Dunkeld Festival. Highlights for us were

• sitting around the fire with Roz and guests talking about Dunkeld
  
• the tour of the RMH Cellar with Lok telling us about the things that go to produce quality wine
• the tour of Mt Sturgeon homestead and talking to Heather about life on the land
  
• the walking tour around Dunkeld with Ivo graphically describing the carnage of the '44 fires on the town.

It will take us a long time to find a fine hotel (hardly a pub!) to top this one!
